AmIslamic Funds Management Sdn Bhd (“AIFM”) – Registration No. 200801029135 (830464-T) was established on 25 August 2008 to be a dedicated Islamic investment solutions provider, which offers a comprehensive and innovative range of Shariah-compliant funds and provides investment management services on all Shariah-compliant assets. AmInvest is the brand name for AIFM.
AmFunds Management Berhad has appointed AIFM, a licensed fund manager approved by the Securities Commission Malaysia (“SC”) on 12 January 2009, to implement its Shariah-compliant funds’ investment strategies to achieve the objectives of its funds.
AIFM is a holder of Capital Markets and Services Licence for the regulated activities of fund management issued under the Capital Markets and Services Act 2007.
As at Financial Year End 2024 (31 March 2024), AIFM is not involved in any material litigation and arbitration, including those pending or threatened, and any facts likely to give rise to any proceedings which might materially affect the business or financial position of AIFM.

As at Financial Year End 2024 (31 March 2024), the total value of assets under management is RM9.9 billion, including separately managed mandates and collective investment schemes (i.e 17 funds and 3 private retirement schemes)*.

c) Cross Trade
The Manager may conduct cross trades between funds and private mandates it currently manages provided that all criteria imposed by the regulators are met.
Notwithstanding, cross trades between the personal account of an employee of the Manager and the fund's account are strictly prohibited. The execution of cross trade (if any) will be reported to the Investment Committee and disclosed in the fund's report accordingly.

Officer in Charge
Mirza Shah Bin Abdul Rahim Shah is the Officer in Charge (OIC) of AmIslamic Funds Management Sdn. Bhd. (AIFM). His responsibilities include business development and marketing of Islamic funds, as well as managing the Shariah compliance and governance of AIFM and its investment portfolios.
Mirza has been with AmBank Group for more than 27 years, where he has extensive experience in financial services, with a specialisation in Islamic finance across corporate banking, capital markets and funds management. Prior to becoming OIC, Mirza held the position of Head of Islamic Institutional Sales, where he was responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, leading the sales team in managing client relationships and growth, as well as ensuring compliance with Islamic finance principles.
Before joining AIFM in October 2017, Mirza was part of the Islamic Markets unit within the Debt Markets department at AmInvestment Bank Berhad. In this role, he focused on structuring and executing Shariah-compliant fundraising solutions for large corporates and institutions.
Mirza holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Arizona State University, USA and is a licensed Capital Markets Services Representative from the Securities Commission of Malaysia.

J Visvanathan Jaganatha Thevar
Compliance Officer
J Visvanathan Jaganatha is the designated Compliance Officer overseeing compliance matters in AmInvest. He has more than 39 years of working experience in the banking industry, over which 18 years’ experience are capital markets related within the AmBank Group. He is also currently the Head of Compliance at AmInvestment Bank Berhad. He holds a Master of Business Administration from Victoria University of Technology, Australia. He has completed the relevant examinations for Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) modules and is registered as Head of Compliance with both SC and Bursa Malaysia. He is also a Certified Professional in Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Financing of Terrorism.

The Investment Committee

Haslinda Binti Ibrahim is the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of AmIslamic Funds Management Sdn. Bhd. (AIFM). She has over 30 years of experience in the financial services and funds management industries, with a specialisation in Shariah equities. Haslinda is responsible for overseeing the company’s investments across asset classes, overall investment strategies, and portfolio positioning of funds under management.
Haslinda joined AmFunds Management Berhad in year 2000 as a Fund Manager/Analyst. Her last position held before CIO was Deputy Chief Investment Officer, Equity at AIFM. She managed domestic and regional Shariah equity funds for pension funds, unit trust funds, corporates, and institutions with varied investment objectives. Her career in fund management began at PFM Capital Sdn. Bhd. in year 1994 as an Investment Executive in the research department, and she subsequently moved to the fund management department.
Haslinda holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance (BSc. Econs, Hons) from the University College of Wales, Aberystwyth, Wales, and is a licensed Capital Markets Services Representative.
